The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the high amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no totally functional office committed to service the area every day. The provider point developed for intervention ordeals a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sassa status methods here to enable the servicing of all clients and enhance usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
